HeNN

HeNN is a registered global charity organization which is one of the pioneers in terms of conceptualizing and implementing school level eLibrary projects in Nepal since the beginning of 2007. Since then, HeNN has been instrumental in setting up more than 30 e-library facilities so far in various parts of the Nepal either in its own fund or in joint initiative with other like minded organizations. Having worked on health, education and disaster relief projects for last 13 years and e-library project for the past 6 years, it would not be untrue to say that HeNN has now acquired the necessary expertise, networking and experience to envisage a prospective flagship projects in Nepal. And the eLibrary project that comes under the educational objective is indeed one of them which is and will be making a difference in uplifting the society.

With the goal of Help Nepal Network to provide support in the sectors of health and education in rural Nepal, it is running an e-library project with the slogan “One e-library per district”. E-library(electronic library) is an ambitious and innovative project launched by Help Nepal Network to offer computer facilities for the benefit of students and communities in all 75 districts of the country. This low-cost, low-maintenance model is highly suitable for rural Nepal. But most importantly, for the first time in their lives, the Help Nepal e-Library will allow beneficiaries to leverage modern information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance learning, build computer skills and narrow the digital divide.
